Renovating on Evia

Many of the properties on Evia have an abundance of 'potential'! Whether you're buying a ruin or a habitable house, the chances are you're going to want to make some changes.

We have an excellent network of architects (for the bigger projects), builders, stonemasons, plumbers, electricians, carpenters and painters who we are happy to recommend.

If you need services, such as water and electricity to be connected to your property we can arrange this through a 'Mechaniokos' (similar to a UK surveyor). We can also offer a project management service, to ensure that work on your property continues while you're not there.

If you want to do some of the work yourself, there are numerous Hardware shops in the island villages and 'Practiker' stores (similar to B&Q) on the mainland.

Once you've finished your renovation, there's some great furniture stores in Athens and there’s an Ikea next to Athens airport. If you don't want the hassle of hiring a van, you can email your Ikea shopping list to one of our contacts on the mainland and, for a small fee, they'll collect and deliver everything for you!
