Aghios Dimitrios
Situated on the Gulf of Evia, in a beautiful bay, Aghios Dimitrios is a small Greek family resort and fishing village, linked to Almiropotamos by the long sandy beach, known as "Golden Sands", which has a beachfront café bar and a few loungers and umbrellas.
The tiny fishing harbour at Aghios Dimitrios has one, excellent fish taverna, serving delicious fish, caught by the owner each morning. The taverna also has a very mini, mini-mart and a few rooms to let.
During the winter there are just 21 registered, permanent families, but the land behind the bay, on the mountain slopes, is now being sold for holiday homes. The main road to the village has recently been tarmaced, making access considerably easier.
